It actually makes you more powerful when you make other people the hero.
Sometimes people want to be in the limelight, steal the glory, and be the hero. This can set someone up to have others tear them down.
Make others the hero instead. When you do good work, people will know.
Also when you hold people up to be a hero, even if they haven’t been the ultimate hero, it causes them to live up to that standard.
